Virginia small business owners should plan to attend one of 30 workshops offering information about the U.S. Small Business Administration's financial assistance, counseling and procurement programs in cities throughout the state. Small business owners will get specific information about SBA's products and services during the workshops, particularly, how the agency’s programs can benefit small business growth and prosperity. Selling to the Commonwealth Workshop Series
Virginia government, agencies, departments and universities buy hosts half-day seminars to educate small, woman and/or minority business owners about opportunities to sell their goods and services to the Commonwealth and local governments. Presentations and exhibitors help business owners learn about the Virginia procurement process; discover the benefits of woman and minority business certification in Virginia; hear from state and local government buyers; learn about eVA registration and eVA catalogues; and meet local business assistance providers. Entrepreneur Express: Moving Your Business Forward Workshop Series
Successfully tested throughout Southwest Virginia, Entrepreneur Express workshops will soon be introduced statewide. These events, covering a half-day, are designed for the unique needs of start-up and early stage businesses. Training is offered and resource providers are on-hand to provide on-the-spot assistance and follow-up.
