With 10 years as a practicing registered nurse and with an advanced degree in Health Services Administration, Angela Jones started Envision in 2011. She manages the day to day operations and supervises the program director. She came to the Crater SBDC seeking assistance with marketing and business planning. The SBDC Counselor and Marketing Consultant met with her to help strengthen her marketing and branding effort and to assist her in securing a loan.
Today, Envision has re-vamped their organization by hiring nine new, innovative staff members, who are devoted to making a difference in the lives of the people they serve and understand the importance of the mission statement. She was able to secure a micro loan in the amount of $25,000; which will be used for the maintenance of their current program.
Angela says that the biggest contributions that the SBDC made for her company were prodding:
- Resources that gave information on insurance options and how to grow money once the agency is stable.
- A wealth of ideas and information on how to be more effective in marketing efforts.
- Helpful and inexpensive training seminars that provided a foundation and sound structure in the business sense.
